I went to Venus By Maria Tash to have my second hole pierced on my ear lobe. The procedure was relatively quick and painless. The piercer was also very friendly. When you first walk in, the place is pristine with a wide-range for jewelry selection.
The reason I am rating this place 2-stars is because the lady behind the jewelry table was very pushy. While the piercing is only $15, every earring starts at a base of $50+. She initially failed to provide the option for being pierced with a cheap $15 dollar bar, and proceeded to act confused when I mentioned it. Up until I mentioned that I had visited the shop previously and am aware of the more affordable option.
What really bothered me was when I went to make a payment, they asked how much I would like to leave for a tip??!!! TIP for what? Ripping me off? I think it is very rude and unprofessional to ask/intimidate someone into giving a tip.
Very pricey, probably would not go back again.
