Now called "Natural 7" .. very similar to Veggie Monster except they took out the Deli that never seemed to be used anyways. Nice to have options of organic and/or "natural" products in the neighborhood. Thumbs down for raising all the prices 20% or more though!

This place is like a mini-whole foods! They have organic and non organic options, super sweet, prices are fare or fair for a mom and pop wholesome shop. They also always seem to have exactly what I'm looking for right when I need it.
Owner loves to help me practice my Korean and if I spend enough, I get a treat lol.
LOVE THEM!

Veggie Monster is the best! It's like a miniature Whole Foods, with excellent customer service. I can find most of what I'm looking for (vegan products). They even have fresh juice in the back!

I'm used to seeing and having organic foods available to me almost everywhere I look; from farmers markets to organic grocery stores. Unfortunately in NYC, organic markets are not as common, nor as pervasive, as they are in CA.
I was visiting a friend in Queens when I stumbled upon Veggie Monster. It's not an incredibly huge store, but it has quite a selection for its size. It's clean and organized (possibly a by-product of it being relatively new) and the employees there are quite friendly and knowledgeable.
I've always imagined that grocery prices in NYC were higher than most of the country, even compared to CA, given the fact that we have more farmers markets and organic food stores. However, I was mistaken. Their prices were actually quite comparable to what I would expect from an organic and health food store, some of the items were even a tad cheaper than what I buy at home.
They have a deli counter that serves up amazing sandwiches, along with a large selection of deli meats and cheeses. I drink quite a bit of tea and I noticed that they had quite a few varieties to choose from. They also had bins and bins filled with bulk foods, dried fruits and nuts, as well as lots of spices used in Asian cooking (some of which are damn near impossible to find in NYC unless you find an Asian grocery store).
Like I said above, for a store this size, I was never expecting to find almost everything organic I could possibly ever think of under one roof.
Given the fact that I wasn't expecting to find such an eclectic organic food store in Queens, I must say that it made me very happy and surprised.
