Veggie Heaven

I have been going for years. After more than 30 years as a vegetarian ' veggie heaven is still my favorite. The carribean BBQ chicken is to die for!

First time was great, told everyone I knew about it, again the 2nd time it was great great food great service, thought about giving it a 5 star review. So why the 3 star review, well you kinda chance your experience here, you could come on a busy or not so busy day, sometimes the food is very quick and sometimes they take forever to come out with it. The service might be the best of its your first time, mine was the waiter was very informative, but some(about 50%) of the time they do act as if you are an inconvenience, I remember one time, I had paid everything and was getting up to leave, I said thank you, and they quickly said bye, and before I completely left the table, as soon as j got up they rushed to clear it, I was probably the 2nd person there, it wasn't busy or anything. But yes the food is amazing, it is a very relaxing place with the tone and everything, I would still recommend it, just know that t could be good or bad on the service, but most likely good if they haven't ever seen you.

Loved this place. We had a party there for 65 people. They kept it fresh, clean and beautiful. The food is only to be exceeded by the staff, their friendliness, service and willing to help! The true meaning of a 5 star rating on a family budget. The only good thing about leaving was knowing that we will be back again soon. Thank again to Gary and his wondeful staff.

The food is really great but the service is the worst I've ever experienced in my life! The host just took us to the back and shoved a menu on the table the only this she ever said was "this way." The waiter took forever to come and take our order and he behaved like we were and inconvenience. when he finally brought the food out he disappeared and never returned. we had to asked someone else passing for water. When we finally spotted our waiter long after eating and wanted dessert he actually yelled "one moment!" this when he had never been back to check on us! so for the well over an hour that we were there the only time anyone came to our table was to bring the food and after waving the waiter down for dessert I quickly added that I wanted the cheque before he disappear for good. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service.

I can't say enough good things about this place. My dentist for the past 25-30 years lives out in New Jersey and has an office in Queens. While we were living in Queens we started seeing him and now it is just more convenient (parking wise) to go out to NJ. One time when we were there we decided to go out to dinner afterwards and this place was right nearby. Everything is vegetarian, but the chicken, made out of tofu, tastes and looks like chicken (slightly better actually). The beef also tastes pretty good, made also of tofu, although not as good. They also have shrimp made of tofu. Whenever we go there we always bring home a large bag of chicken to put in our freezer.
