I still appreciate small businesses. These people are honest and attentive. Had my vac fixed within 3 days. The guy took time to really explains things to me. And they saved me $. I would recommend them.

I am sad about the decline in service at Vac-Shack. I have used them often over the years and this is the second time with this vacuum. Of course, shame on me, because I probably was due a new machine this time around, but I knew they were great in the past so i went with the repair.
In the past, I got my machine back all cleaned up, and actually smelling nice. I guess they don't have time to perform those "nice extra touches" anymore. Also, when I dropped the machine off this time, I told the gentleman exactly what had caused the problem and he didn't seem to want to hear it. I felt he needed to know what he was looking for, but he couldn't wait to get me out the door for some reason.
When he called me with a "diagnosis" he all but "yelled at me" like a child about how this should never be used for picking up certain types of dirt, etc. Well, I had explained to him the day before when I dropped it off that I already KNEW that it shouldn't have been used in that way. I found it rude that he didn't listen to what I already knew and decided to be nasty about it after the fact.
Then I was told. it would take a few days to get the parts. This was day after I dropped it off. Over a week later, I had heard NOTHING, so I called. He told me that the part had JUST arrived and that the machine would be ready the next day.
The next day came and went and I finally got a call, 4 days later saying the machine was ready.
It's a shame, I used to refer people to Vac Shack. I didn't see the nice gentleman that I used to deal with in the past there at all. Maybe he is away. But he used to smile and give the machine back in pristine condition.
The gentleman that picked up his machine didn't seem too thrilled either. He was actually cleaning in up prior to putting it in his car.
I would not recommend this business in the future. Too bad.,

This place is horrible. I wish I could give it less than 1 star. Dealt with the owner, Dave Schultz. Rude, and completely not interested in fixing a problem that was under warranty. I can't stand when a product says "do not return to store", and instead forces you to deal with a jerk like this. I see some others actually gave good reviews, I'm not sure how that's possible. Dave must have had a few relatives type in some reviews.

Great service and prices are very fair. I felt the service was right to the point and courteous. Some people may have things going on in their life we don't know about and aren't always "chipper". I try not to judge because of that. That's a small store and I'm sure it isn't easy to turn a huge profit while paying rent and insurance... (I'm a former business owner...).

One of the worst experiences I have EVER had with a retailer. The owner very condescending and flat out nasty, Brought my Electrolux vacuum to him twice in 3 moths to repair under factory warranty. In both cases this guys form of repair was replacing the bag, that was it. When I told him that his form of repair was not satisfactory he got even nastier. He told me that if I came into his shop he would call the police??? Man is a lose cannon, and even worse he speaks to women like they are beneath him. STAY AWAY! I filed a complaint with Electrolux.
