I've always had good service here. In fact, I'm in Kenilworth and I prefer going over to Cranford Post Office. They are so much nicer, the staff are fast moving and I always get a spot right in front of the place.

Do not trust the carrier pickup when you purchase postage online. This is the second time they did not pick up my package. The first time they put it back in my mailbox (it was a small package) and this time it sat on my doorstep all day yesterday and I found it there this morning. I run a business from my house and promised delivery to my customer and now they will not get it in time. The thing that really irked me was that they were unwilling to remedy the situation. They told me it will be picked up today, but my house is the last one on the route, so it would have sat on my doorstep until 6:00 pm, wasting another day. This is totally unacceptable and I will never trust them again.

I am puzzled by the other reviews. I have lived in Cranford for more than 30 years and have used the post office frequently. In my experience, the postal employees in Cranford have always been helpful, friendly, and polite. Parking is a problem, but that is certainly not the fault of the employees.

example 1: Someone with a Chinese last name moved out of our apartment building (apt. 8), so somehow the mail man thought all persons with an asian last name (my girlfriend) should have their mail marked as "moved, left no forwarding address". Apartment 2 is not apartment 8.
example 2: This past week, after getting no mail, I got a call from NJ Transit that my next months train pass was returned as "undeliverable". I called the PO and they said maybe the wrote the wrong address. I've been getting these train passes through the mail for months without any problem. The solution I was given: "are they going to re-send it?"
I've opened a P.O. Box in another town. Maybe now I'll get my mail.
