The person who was tracking my package was very nice, she then placed me on hold and now 2 hours 15 minutes later I'm still listening to their hold music which is a mix of Charlie Brown and something that would be used for a timeshare sales video. I would like to think they are coming back but i have a feeling I will be dropped as soon as it's closing time..If they ever come back i will give them 2 stars..if they find my package 3 stars.....hmmm 2:19:34 love clocks on phone....best part is the mans voice who says help is just moments away...well its past their closing time 3 hours later tried calling in on another line ...but their system will leave me on hold......So after about 3 1/2 hours a person came on the line and he was shocked I was on hold that long, He found my package and is sending it back..so as I said i upgraded to 3 stars...i will have nightmares with their hold music in it...I wonder if this qualifies as PTSD

If there is a worst post office in New York City, I challenge you to find it.
This location has terrible hours (doesn't open officially until 10am - very inconvenient - evidenced by the line that forms outside waiting for the doors to open), is dirty, understaffed at all hours of the day, disorganized, and worst: they are so rude! (I'm sure they're sick of unhappy customers, but we're the aggrieved here!)
The manager, Ricardo Perpadoro (this is likely misspelled - I had him write it down for me so I could complain to USPS and it's scrawled and illegible), is astonishingly rude and unhelpful. I think after walking half a mile, waiting in line for 15 minutes, and politely requesting to pick up a package - for which I had a tracking #!) doesn't merit impatience and crude behavior. He actually yelled at me.
I am writing this in the hope that someone in a position of power will see how many people are inconvenienced, treated poorly, and unhappy with the postal service this location provides (or rather, the service they don't provide).

Tracking numbers don't mean anything since they take care... Whether they delivered packages to my place or not, the status of my package is always delivered. Plus they don't leave any note. So there is no way to pick up my packages... Some staffs at the office are really kind and nice. But I always get the worst service from the rest of the staffs there.

The worst post office ever. This is the second time they've lost a package of mine. I called early Friday morning asking if my package was there. I was told yes. I immediately went to go pick it up and somehow they couldn't find my package at all. Unbelievable. Unorganized.
Not to mention they claimed to have left a notice twice and I never received a notice. Just horrible.

Pitiful. Like most commentors here I have tons of missing packages worth $100s of dollars with no recourse whatsoever. The only answer unfortunately is to no longer have things delivered to my home which is frankly unacceptable. Packages with tracking, sent priority mail, are listed as delivered in their system so it is impossible to get a refund - are these items being stolen? Just an absolutely horrible, horrible organization to have to deal with.
