Urban Vets Animal Hospital

Called to make an appointment for the first time, was put on hold several times, was hung up on, called back, put on hold again and the treated rudely by Barbara, thanks I will take my dogs elsewhere

Urban Vets has a very caring staff on hand. My dog was in pain and they treated her quickly. Great location and attmosphere.

Urban Vets is our local veterinary hospital, and we have not experienced any of the issues the unhappy posters listed here have experienced. Our puppy is less than a year old and has been sick a few times this year, and Dr. Cohen and his technicians have taken great care of her each time. They are kind and gentle to her when we come in, and I always feel as those they truly care about figuring out a solution to whatever is going on with her. Their hours are convenient and I can always get an appointment at the last minute if I need it. I am usually early to appointments and I have never had to wait for very long. In fact, if we get there early they usually take us into the exam room early. I love the people at Urban Vets and have not had a negative experience yet. I would recommend this vet to other pet owners in the East Village.

just moved to nyc and used this vet because they are across the street from my house and seemed to have enough good reviews. WHAT A MISTAKE!! why do i have to wait 27 minutes for an appointment i was five minutes early for? oh and you cant say sorry!?! dr. cohen was maybe on pet painkillers? dumb and unhelpful. they could not rush me out fast enough and did not take anything i said seriously. $65 for a four minute "exam/consultation" that gave me less information than i got from the internet. two of my questions were literally scoffed at as if i wasnt in the room! the vet tech and receptionist were also loaded with attitude. im too upset and disgusted to go on.

Dr. Cohen was so amazing with my new puppy Olive. She had a lot of health problems when I got her and he was so gentle and took such good care of her. I'm happy to say that Olive is all better thanks to Dr. Cohen. Both Olive and I were very comfortable with the staff and always had a positive experience at Urban Vets. I would HIGHLY recommend this to all my friends who have little critters :)
