Urban Optical

As an ophthalmology resident I was thoroughly impressed by Dr. Adam Friedland's knowledge of eye disorders and pathology. He was very professional and took the time to ensure both my girlfriend and I were happy with our prescription and choice of glasses. The equipment he has in his office is up to date and very good for an optometrist office.

Just being honest here, Very nice store, but you really should clean up out front around the tree. It brings the whole place down. Hope you read this UR and please don't take it the wrong way.

the equipment they used for their eye exam was dirty - the lenses were completely foggy. Pretty disrespectful to their patients. How can you achieve reliable results this way?

I dealt with them about a year ago. Hope things have changed since.

I've gone to Dr, Friedland at Urban Optical for over ten years. He's very thorough and has provided great care. He's also a great guy. They've always given me rebate coupons and have made an effort to offer the best prices possible.

I have been through quite a few optometrists in my 30 years as a visually challenged englishman and none have come close to Urban Opticals. They manage to find a pair of stylish frames that matched the image of my glasses wearing self in my head while fitting on my somewhat oversized head. A first. Usually for me a visit to the eye doctor is something similar to a visit to the shoe store. I take a size 13 shoe yet sales assistants are forever trying to get me to "just squeeze into a 9". It never works out well. So it is with glasses. Nobody stocks frames that fit my, some would say, freakishly outsized bonce, but Urban opticals were able to order me some, and what is more, they are from Paul Smith and look AWESOME. So visit Urban Opticals, especially if you have a big head. They're great.
