University Respiratory Med: Ting Leon MD

I send patients to Dr Ting because he is both excellent clinically and kind. He agreed to fit in a patient of mine the same day because she was in distress. He genuinely wants to see patients improve their disease management and quality of life. Highly recommended!

Dr Ting is a great diagnostician who has helped me repeatedly. He can put you at ease right away
with his easy manner. He eliminates that exam room stress by seeing you one on one in his office.
He comes highly recommended and does not disappoint!

Dr Ting takes care of my asthma. He is a great doctor. He listens to everything I have to say. He is extremely nice and caring. I highly recommend him

If I could have given zero stars I would've. First, I would like to begin with giving them credit for fitting me in the very next day after my primary called as an emergency. That's all. Now, I got there early. The young receptionist was pleasant. The others not so much. I was having a terrible day weazing, weak, and couldn't breathe. I still had to wait past my time to be seen. All my medical records and x rays were present. I was charged 50 for my co pay before anything as usual. I went into his office not an exam room to talk. It was clear I couldn't speak, let alone breathe, common sense isn't so common. Then I took two breathing tests by the nurse, that I failed even after the rescue inhaler was given. He came into the exam room listened to my breathing, or lack of. And after a 5 minute exam or just using a stethascope said in a cocky attitude, I could get you better in a week with Advair. Well, that was interesting because I was already on and had been given Advair. I was previously diagnosed with restricted airway disease in the ER. Because of Asthma symptoms. He didn't explain what the condition was, if it was permanent damage, or what the course of treatment would be, besides use Advair. I asked him " As a person who has never had asthma before, or was never born with it, what was going on?" His arrogant response was , "How do I know you never had asthma?" Answering a question with a question. I think after 35 years I should know if I ever had trouble breathing especially with my mother with me who had been there since my birth. I was so frustrated, I grabbed my things and stormed out. If you ask me, he's a young Dr with no time for difficult cases and the God Complex doesn't help either. So, now same problem, on to another pulminologist. Don't bother yourself with this "so called" specialist.

Apparently, this office does not like to receive phone calls.
I have called numerous times, during their stated hours, and kept getting their answering service.
I've also left voice-mail, which has gone unanswered.
Dr. Ting himself seemed like a nice guy, but his receptionists need to be replaced.
