AVOID THIS POST OFFICE! I've never had so many problems with sending mail before I moved to NYC. I live only 2 blocks from this post office and would rather walk 10 extra blocks than have my day ruined by the customer service at this location. There have been several instances where they refused to let me ship my packages. The first one was them refusing to put some tape to close the box I had just purchased. They told me it would cost $7 to purchase USPS approved tape. The next time I went to send something the man was so rude to me and made me get back in line because I didn't fill out the sticker label to write my address on. When I asked why the box already had a spot to write the to/from address he told me to get back in line. My most recent experience I had was the lady refused to let me sent my flat rate package because I had used my tape to tape the box closed. This was the last straw for me because just before they refused to tape my box and wanted me to purchase their tape. Save yourself some anger and just use UPS or FedEx if you can or just use a different post office location....

I was the only person in the rope line to see a clerk. There were three clerks having a personal conversation but no one looked up to see me. After waiting about 5 minutes, I finally went up to the window of a female clerk assuming that they just didn't see me. The clerk very rudely told me I would have to get back in "line" (even though there was no one in the line. I tried to make her see the inanity of this command, but she insisted so I had to walk back to the "line" and stand there. After I had done that, she said, "I can help you now" and I was allowed to approach her window. I only wish I had been a writer for Seinfeld because this would have been great material. After I was called to her window I told her I would be taking my package to UPS to send even though it would cost me more. I tried to point out to her that if she keeps sending customers away like this she'll lose her job, but she said she didn't care because she was retiring in 5 years and has a great retirement package.
