Well first of all I would like to say I'm a residence of Union City, NJ. I like this particular library because it's in the neighbor, clean and convenient. I've been going here off and on since I knew it opened. I always go there to print and that's it. I never was told I had to pay for printing. The other day this week, either a Monday or Tuesday I went in to print again, haven't been there in months. The lady in the front that's there all the time was there, not the older one but the younger one. For some reason after I printed I asked do I have to pay for printing, not even noticing the big sign on the counter staying the first two are free and after the first two .05 cents. She said, " Yes, it's .05 cents each. I had printed out 5 copies so she charged me .25 cents. Today I go in there and something told me to ask her is the printing free for UC residents. Today both the older lady and younger lady was there. Again I was told its .05 cents for printing and .15 cents for using the copy machine. As I was going to the computer to print out I saw people just picking up their paper from the printer and not paying. I didn't say anything until it was time for me to pay. So I said to the younger one I came here many times and never had to pay and I see people just taking their paper and not paying. She looked at me with a blank stare as I was counting my 3 copies. I then noticed that sign I mentioned earlier stating the first 2 are free. So I pointed to that sign and asked what about that sign? She then loudly stated, " Yes the first two are free!" I responded and said well you didn't tell me that when I just asked and earlier this week I printed out 5 copies and you charged me .25 cents so I will only give you .05 cents today for my 3 copies. She didn't say a word. I just walked out livid. The security guard saw I was angry and I explained to him what she did. He just shook his head and looked at her. I later called to speak to the supervisor which the younger lady picked up. I know her voice from anywhere. She claimed the supervisor left. I had to pull teeth to get her to tell me when she will be in and what time. I know it's only 10 cents. The money is not the issue. It's the principle of the whole situation. If you can't explain correctly and over charge people while you are working with the public then don't work with the public. I feel like she was racist and probably pockets money like that all the time. If you need it that badly then just ask me, I would have given it to you, but don't insult my intelligence. I think she's possibly alittle slow. People in UC are always trying to get over especially when you have darker skin. Not me sweetheart. What's right is right! SMH

One word - mosquitos.
This place is a cesspool of mosquitos INSIDE!!!
I wore black buttoned down shirt, and I kid you not, I must of killed more than ten. STILL there were more, many more.
Also, fifty-million sockets everywhere, but you're not allowed to use any but the ones at the "designated area"... (which was occupied the whole time). I'm glad I can't use my Mac if it's going to die.
Library survival kit:
1. Mosquito netting
2. Bug spray
3. Tennis racquet for large bugs
4. Thick coating of mud to ward off stings.
5. Car battery with a power converter to charge device.
6. Quick enough typing skills to finish work before you're depleted of vital fluids.
I'd rather go all the way down to Bayonne library than have to use this swamp like facility.
