Uncle Bacala's

Food and service in the restaurant was excellent. However, waited 20 minutes for valet service while watching 5 people receive their cars before us. Each time I approached a valet guy he yelled "1 minute". After confronting him with this information, he just sighed. We had given him the ticket and he didn't remember receiving it. No apologies, just nastiness from the valet. We had thought for a second the car was stolen.

This is by far one my favorite restaurants ever. This is the only restaurant in Long Island I would even consider leaving Westchester County to go, but it is THAT good.
Their calamari is outstanding, fried to perfection without that super greasy taste. The escarole with canelini beans was absolutely out of this world. The house sangria was delicious, but I also love their cotton candy martini. The food came out quickly and was always warm.

I wouldn't consider myself a picky eater but I'm the type who goes to a restaurant and eats the same thing each time, but not here! All the food was absolutely outstanding, and they even give you a glass full of freshly made cotton candy! Who doesn't love cotton candy!?

All I know is I cannot WAIT to go back!

Hubby and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary here and loved every moment of it. Scheduling reservations was a breeze. Eva who made our reservations was very helpful in making accommodations for our celebration. We were half an hour late and not a single staff member gave us a hard time. We were able to have a table a bit further away from everyone for a more intimate experience. Our server Bill was beyond informative, friendly and courteous. He tended to our every request and made helpful suggestions. We ordered the calamari, caesar salads, filleto di manzo with grilled shrimp, and the tilapia oreganata which were all nothing short of amazing. The portions were great for the money spent. There was a full bar for us to enjoy drinks according to our liking. Dessert was also brought to us with a candle on it and was on the house. The server left us to make our wishes to one another Could not have asked for a more intimate experience and wonderful experience. Thank you staff at Uncle Bacala's for making our second year anniversary very memorable.
