Truly an Irish bar. Plays the soccer at weekends and serve full Irish breakfast with all the traditional trimmings.
On weeknights its a post work hangout for bankers. In the summer the seats outside in the street are fun and shared across many bars which is entertaining. Inside its a little cavernous in that the bars and seats layout create plenty of alcoves where you can hide out.

Ulysses is a great happy hour spot. It is usually pretty crowded and is a small space, so you will want to get there and claim a spot. I've also been there for some folk concerts as well as for dinner, which were both very good. They had a lobster roll and a beer/house wine deal for $15!

Workday lunch, after work drinks and weekend brunch are 3 very different experiences here. I didn't do too many lunches here but in warmer weather it's a pleasant lively experience at the outdoor tables. Inside is ridiculously cramped and it's hard to order a drink. Especially since the Wall Streeters are tipping the bartenders $20 on $10 tabs (attractive female bartenders). It gets pretty insane during the summer after work with large groups and open tabs. Lots of drunk sloppy people from 5pm on the dot. Weekend brunch is actually pretty nice. I haven't done it in a while so the price might have gone up but it was all you can eat for about $25 and had nice selection of seafood bar (shrimp, clams and maybe oysters) and pastries from Financier and carvery (hot roasts). It's calmer and since it's buffet style, inattentive service isn't an issue.

Fun place with good but not great beer selection. Lively crowd with good people watching. Service friendly and prompt

Whenever I hear someone say the name Ulysses, I can only think of one thing, brunch. Ulysses offers a very well priced all you can eat brunch on Sundays. Patrons can enjoy custom omelets, freshly carved meats, fruits, veggies and even a fresh seafood raw bar. Added bonus: a free mimosa or bloody Mary is included in the price. Children eat at an even lower price on brunch days.
The other six days of the week stop by for great salads and burgers.
