A lovely structure just begging to be restored and re-opened as, perhaps, a VR/AR terminal for proto-holodecking and travel to alternate dimmensions in digital space.

Absolutely stunning architecture in this decommissioned terminal, designed by Eero Saarinen. It opens up once a year in October to the public as part of Open House New York. Do not miss this.

Closed to the public the land marked building was open to the public for Open House NY weekend and was easily the most visited building during the event.
This was probably the last time it could be seen in its original layout as it is supposed to become a hotel lobby.
You can still walk around the outside of the building which is snuggled in between the JetBlue terminal and the Airtrain.
Designed by Eero Saarinen it is truly a wonder with all the curves and sloping glass windows. Getting inside for one last view was a treat!
