A bit on the expensive side, but delicious food and the waiter gave our big group a glass of limoncello after dinner - like in true Italian tradition!

I went into Testaccio with a group of friends and it was like walking into a restaurant in Florence. There was a table big enough for the 7 of us, but it's also an adorable date spot with cool lights and beautiful paintings on the walls. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, and recommended a great wine for the table. (They were also clearly Italian with the accents, which is unrelated but is a huge plus as I studied abroad in Italy years ago and miss it!) The food was incredible! (Mi piace molto!!) My friends and I shared appetizers and in particular, the octopus salad blew me away. Then we shared several of the pizzas, which were huge, and I couldn't decide which one I liked more. They tasted authentic and I loved that there was even a pizza with prosciutto!
The music playing that night was great for the atmosphere and it was not too loud, so we could still enjoy our conversations.
I would highly recommend coming here and can't wait to go back myself! It's often difficult to find an authentic Italian place with good prices in the area, so I am so thrilled to have come across this one. My own little piece of Italy tucked into Queens.

I went to Testaccio to meet a friend and have a pizza and I can't say it was an enjoyable experience. I have to say that the pizza was good, although a bit overpriced as a 12" pie goes for $18 and up. A glass of white wine is $12 on average and the portions of pasta that I saw from other tables were really appetizer-size.. At these prices you eat at better quality restaurants in the city, one example? Pizza Fresca near Union Square. That being said, the strangest thing happened. When I got the bill it was about $50 (one pizza and two glasses of wine, ouch). I gave the waiter my credit card and when he came back for me to sign the charge was $60. About $10 more. I called back the waiter who looked toward the manager and then he took the bill back without saying a word. He brought it back saying he voided the $60, "sorry about that," and gave me the correct one to sign. I left a bit annoyed and then I started to get worried. I remembered while I was eating that at one point another waiter called the attention of the manager saying that a woman was on the phone calling about a problem with a credit card transaction. The very next morning I checked my bank account online and there were two charges, one for $50 and one for $60. I called my bank and had them block the transaction and now I'm waiting to see what happens...

All around great restaurant. My girlfriend and I go to Testaccio frequently and have always had a pleasant experience. The one (and only) time we thought the food was sub-par (it was over salted), the staff immediately fixed the problem. You can't ask for more. The food is almost always 5 star, and the one time it wasn't, the 5-star staff fixed it. Great food and staff, and LIC's best Italian restaurant.
