Their selection/stock is very limited, and most of the folks working there aren't particularly hardware-knowledgeable; but if you're in the area, and in need, this is about as good as it gets.

Must be a factor of who you deal with. Whenever I go there, I get asked if I need help, and get whatever I'm looking for - it's always been a pleasant experience, even though I'm a very infrequent customer.

Manhattan hardware stores must be profitable because I have no idea how these guys are still in business.

Horrible. Just the worst. I got keys copied here and one was clearly not done right. Pointed it out to the guy and he actually made fun of me for asking. Paid for it and of course, it didn't work. Just went there again after calling and asking if they could color match and mix some paint. They said sure. Got there and they told me they only mix. Fine I said, I'll get it matched somewhere else, can you mix it for me? Was told no, I don't mix other people's paint. Who does that? Seriously, just a bunch of lazy incompetent jerks over there. There is one youngish guy there and another with dreads who are actually helpful but the older guys there just need to go.

Shameful customer service

Walked in looking for a socket wrench and walked out after being insulted by an employee claiming to be the manager.

The man seemed irritable when I first approached. He became sarcastic and antagonistic after I asked for advice on fixing my door and then he continued to insult me about my little knowledge of hardware.
