We just went there for a snack in the evening, and the fries were good. However, as it was pouring rain outside, we asked whether they could call us a taxi. They initally don't wanted to, then they tried, but in the end they resigned and said they don't have a phone number. Why is it so hard to call a cab by phone in NYC? Seemed kinda odd for me as a foreigner. We then has to walk a few blocks in the rain with the wrong clothes.

The only thing exceptional here is the prices... Four of us went for lunch. The waitress got 2 of our drink orders wrong. She got one right on the second try, but the last one - well, she never got her drink. For an appetizer, we had Lobster Mac and Cheese. It was excellent M&C, but there were only 2 little pieces of lobster in it and for $16, there needs to be more. For my meal, I had a tuna blt sandwich. The tuna was massively overcooked - so dry it was inedible - and it was served on a roll that seemed to have purchased from the clearance bin at a local grocery store. Tasteless and crumbly. I actually wanted dessert, but figured they would be a waste of time, so we just paid the bill and left. We would never go back. Honestly, fast food was better.

This place is a pleasant surprise! I thought it would be boring standard fare because of the location, but it's a really great space. There is a basement, with exposed stone, and a great bartender down there mixing delicious drinks. Good small plates as well. I've also had a proper dinner on the main floor that was very good (seafood and tasty lamb). The wine is great, good whiskey cocktails, and fun staff.
There's even a private little dining cart facing the west side of the main bar that you can slide shut so you can have an intimate conversation and great date here.
4 stars for atmosphere and service, 3 stars for food
