if you're ordering over the phone 9 times out of 10 they'll mess up your order so ask to repeat your order may help your chances. keyword MAY. food tastes good, but incompetent staff.

We were excited to eat at Towne Deli and Pizzeria after reading all the great reviews online, but that enthusiasm soon went down hill fast! We were seated very quickly upon our arrival and our order was taken about two minutes later. That was last we saw of the "quick service". We waited a whopping 45 minutes for our food to come out of the kitchen, and all we ordered was a burger with swiss and a plain grilled cheese sandwich. Even after my husband's burger came out of the kitchen, I was still waiting for my grilled cheese sandwich. The waitress was very apologetic and let us know that the chefs in the kitchen inadvertently used a roll to make the grilled cheese sandwich and was redoing the order. Ten more minutes passed and I was STILL waiting for a simple grilled cheese sandwich. Finally the sandwich came out and my husband noticed the sandwich was merely toasted and cheese melted within. We notified the waitress about the error and she very apologetically removed the item from our tab, but we were left with a very sour taste over the whole dining experience. How can ANY professional establishment get a plain grilled cheese sandwich wrong??? Mind you, we went at 4:45 in the afternoon on a Saturday, and yes, the place was moderately crowded, but tables who were seated after us, were seated and served before we were. This is my second bad experience with this eatery. The first one mimicked this one to a tee, an extremely long wait for food. I will not be returning to this place again and I suggest anyone who would like to dine within a reasonable time to move onto to another establishment. There are many more places who would love your patronage and hard earned money and not make you wait a year and a day for your food and STILL GET IT WRONG. And on a side note, don't let the quaint decor fool you into thinking the food is any better than BASIC deli fare served by waitresses. I highly suggest you pass this place up.
