Been going here for 7 years now... authentic Russian barbers that are awesome unless you are a hippie pr1ck. Locals get a great cut and straight blade shave. If you can't stand Russians or think that an accent is being rude to you, don't come here.

Yesterday, I received the best haircut of my life. I've been going to this place for years... but yesterday Boris really went above and beyond and done me good'. The recent events following my haircut were unbelievable, and I know for a fact they all occurred in succession solely because I received that haircut on that particular morning. A domino affect, if you will. After my glorious haircut, I wen't home with a newly-found confidence. I felt like a new person.
On the way home, girls were looking at my left and right. It got to the point where one could see me blushing from miles away... I was just so flattered! I realized when I got home that I had a giant spill of water in my pelvic region, but I'm convinced that those girls were not looking at me because of that. It was my haircut!
Anyways, I got to school the next morning feeling amazing. Running on only 4 hours of sleep, this haircut gave me motivation to go to school. I don't have the greatest reputation at my school... but once I walked in with Great Gatsby hair, I knew my teachers gained a level of respect for me that was not previously there.
The most notable occurrence was this morning, which was an exchange between me and Joe, my friend/enemy. Throughout high school, Joe had always made fun of my haircut. Everyday he'd mock me and call me out in our school's lobby, always pointing out my horrible hair. But today, for the first time ever, he actually said that my hair looked good. And I knew this wasn't sarcasm, because when I looked into his eyes, I saw something I hadn't seen ever before.
Thank you Boris.

Act like you are bothering them when getting cut. Took three minutes on hair and claimed he was done. Did not clean straight razor before use. Find a different barber, this one sucks.

This place has been a neighborhood staple for years and moved to a bigger and more visible location at 899 West Beech Street (the former frozen yogurt shop at Wyoming Avenue & West Beech Streets) the summer before last. My son and I come here all the time. Michael is one of the most friendly people I know, and he provides both a great haircut and an incredible professional shave. Additionally, the barber shop is very well furnished with a large flat screen TV, custom made barber stations and large wrap around windows. My son and I feel like kings every time we visit! Michael is a great barber and a wonderful man. His barber shop is a neighborhood treasure and we wish him many years of continued success in running it.

Skip this place, after a shave I looked like I got in a fight with a cat. I should not have even paid.
