A few years back they use to be pretty fantastic and one of the best Sushi restaurants in the neighborhood but frankly they've lost their touch. After ordered for so long the quality has seemed to fade over time. Sushi no longer feels, tastes or smells fresh. Even basic things that are hard to screw up like chicken teriyaki are mediocre now. Chicken is always over cooked and tough as hell. I order from Drunken Fish Sushi Lounge now they're much better and excellent quality.

At first it was realy good, i got used to ordering 3 times a week, then since one day every single time i ordered it was absolutely not fresh, almost stale, i got sick several times.
I don't know if it is my imagination but i feel like all that started to happend after i had an arguement at the fone with the person that takes the orders.
So maybe if you want to keep eat from their restaurant never try to argue with them because they might serv you bad food on purpose.

Tomo Japanese Restaurant is years ahead of it's Bushwick location. Feels like a place out of the East Village or anywhere else in Manhattan. Service is good and there is a backyard patio. Expect the usual Japanese fare. There are some great rolls available like Imagination (spicy salmon, crispy flakes, avocado, topped with fresh salmon) and Bumble Bee Roll (spicy crab, cucumber, fresh mango on top). Appetizers are worth it for snacking with beer.

The sushi and tempura are just outrageous. SO DELICIOUS!
Suhi: $15 gets you an awesome sushi plate with 9 large pieces and 6 tuna roll pieces. very filling, fresh, and tasty. comes with a small miso soup with tofu pieces.
Tempura: For $5 you get two giant shrimp pieces, and 4, 5 sweet potato/pumpkin pieces. made just right. and delivered so quick they're still crunchy hot.
Delivery is super quick. Prices are okay, not cheap but well worth it. I've been to japan and ate better sushi, but this is basically as good as it gets in the US, unless you're willing to dish $3, $4 a piece in the city.
Two words: Try it.
