This cozy little daycare and early intervention school does a great job giving you a wonderful first impression. My child went there for 2 weeks and I took her out as soon as I learned what really goes on at this place. First they hire fresh out of school young girls and guys with a 2 week training on how to play and handle children with special needs. Two weeks! Real Special needs teachers and assistants go to years of schooling and training for this and are actually certified. Although they have one teacher overlooking all these "assistants" who are given one child each, that teacher is also a fresh out of school young girl or guy with just as little knowledge. Second, the children are stuffed in little cubbicles with this assistant for up to 2 hours with short breaks like the bathroom, playing on the floor right next to the cubicle, or 15 minutes of play time in their small yard where the assistants are dazed and look more like they are on a coffee break than actually playing with the kids and helping them out. If your child is in their daycare and not early intervention program its is the same except they are in a small-medium sized room all day with a short tempured teacher where I have witness yelling at children and smacking their hands. My child was also a victim of abuse at this school. She was shoved into her seat by an assistand who looked like she didnt want to be bothered in that moment. I watched this happen to my daughter with the teacher as we were watching them play through a window. The teacher apologized and removed the assistant from my child. The next day when approached by the director of the school, I was called a liar about the incident and the teacher denied ever seeing her assistant shoving my chld. Thursdays child is more of a mob family than a school trying to help familys. They will back up eachother no matter what, lie for eachother, and you have to deal with it wether you like it or not. I spoke with many parents there who felt helpless against them too. If your child is a severe autistic this may be a good school for him or her because it is a by the book ABA program school. My only advice if you do send your child here please please keep a close eye on your child there. THey have peep holes in your childs classroom door where you can look into as much as you can. Ask for your child to be seated closer to the door where you can see him or her. You have all the rights as a parent, do not let this school fool you or bully you! Almost forgot to mention the staff smoking in front of the school entrance where all the children enter and leave the building. Not good for any child to be around this. GOOD LUCK parents! Blessings.
