Great location, being that it's super close to PATH and the rest of Jersey City. A walk down to the river walk is worth it for sure. However, the hotel itself is nice just not up to par at all for the price you pay. I've definately seen better Westins. The staff and concierge were really helpful and parking was very easy to get to.

Its ok, i like the area around the Hotel. The staff is not über friendly. But you can open the Windows in the rooms which is always a plus.
This Hotel still charges you 10 usd for slow wifi... its 2016 - my Freaking kindle has free internet around the world!!!!

PROS: Good service, friendly staff. Nice bar and hotel restaurant has a great burger. Indoor pool. Good location near PATH.
CONS: Relatively expensive. Parking is about two blocks away.

Stayed in a 9th floor room with partial Manhattan view for 7 days. The quality is great and the rooms very silent, with dtv and coffee machine provided with free starbucks coffee every day. Good overall experience, a bit expensive (around 160$ x night for 2 people plus taxes, excluding optional wifi charge and breakfast), but it's the standard of the area I think. Very nice view of manhattan, even if partial.

The Westin Jersey City Newport has been great. Very helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and clean, comfortable bedding, etc.
The only issue I have is with the parking situation. They don't validate for the parking structure or have free hotel parking, parking ends up being $22 a day. That's rather expensive where I live.
