The flatbush location is closed finally!!!
Unprofessional , lazy owner named Trevor who doesnt care about his salon , his employees or his clients .. The owner is a crook who will cheat you !! Beware he knows nothing about hair but charges ridiculous prices for bad out of date products. The weave spot has false advertisement on all there offers. The salon was always dirty and had poor lighting... Thank god they are closed !!

This is a very strong buyer beware. Apparently there are extra charges which are not declared on the groupon so that people can make an informed decision when buying their groupon. It is quite frankly false advertising and It is establishments like this that spoil the groupon experience for people and I have actually found a lot of great places via groupon which I now frequent regularly. They claim to operate on an a la carte basis. Apparently, for them to put in the corn rows, which form the tracks for a sew in, is actually an a la carte item!!! Definition of a la carte below.

À la carte is a French language loan phrase meaning "according to the menu", and used to describe a retail pricing model in which goods or services traditionally bundled together are separated out, putatively giving the consumer greater choice at lower cost. Examples include airline pricing where in-flight drinks or snacks are not complimentary, on-line music purchasing where individual tracks can be bought instead of entire albums, or pay television where individual channels can be ordered rather than a bundle of channels.

It would normally refer to items which can be optional. You can go without them but how can you have a sew in without tracks? How is this a valid a la carte item that you have to pay extra for? Same thing with the cutting /styling of the weave. Elaborate styling, yes should be charged extra for. All the stylist did was cut my bangs and they charge an extra $20 for that. The hot ironing extra charge, I can understand, I can go and hot iron the hair by myself at home and really some salons tend to add it in as an extra but with that said, the hairdresser just went ahead and hot ironed my hair without asking if I wanted it or stating there was an extra charge for it. Other salons would actually ask and advise of an extra charge. Its like ordering fried chicken and they say oh no you have to pay extra for the oil in which they are going to fry the chicken. Is eating raw chicken actually an option? Or they say you have to pay extra for eating off their plates!!
In short, it cost an extra $55 on top of the groupon, which brought the total cost to what I would normally pay for a weave without any discounts. Then the manager then tries to tell me that it is discounted and that their normal rates are $250 upwards. $250 upwards is what you pay at upscale establishment. This salon is most definitely NOT an upscale establishment. It is in a dodgy part of Brooklyn, the ambiance is most definitely not upper scale, you have random friends of the hairdresser popping in to have chats (gossip) with her while is working on your hair and they don’t keep you waiting 2.5 hours before your hair is done even though I called in to make a 6pm appointment 2 days prior! I didn’t leave the store till 11.30pm! That does not happen at an upper scale establishment. You pay for the fact that they respect your time.
To make matters worse, the bangs she cut aren’t even very good. She said she was giving me a razored cut, which would mean a layered style. Instead what I have are choppy bangs! Looks like someone just hacked away bits of hair and the left side is not a mirror image of the right side and it is quite obvious when you look in the mirror. In short I will have to get this re cut. The stylist was very nice but this does not change the fact that the cut is not a good one.
In all, this was a poor experience and I will definitely not be returning or recommending this store. A lot of small establishments don’t grow because they try to “cunningly” nickel and dime that customers into paying more and thereby lose customer loyalty.

One of the best full service salons in brooklyn that specializes in hair weaves & hair extensions.

The atmosphere was very warm and inviting, the hairstylists were very professional and can do banging hairstyles.
