Great service and helpful and friendly staff. Located under the highline park, the atmosphere is unparalleled. The beer was good and I can't wait to go back and try the food. I miss NYC already!

Must have! Great environment, party mood, informal and fun. 4 german style beers and some meat, pretzel and dogs for food make this a blast for a hot afternoon!
Come walking by the highline and take a stroll on the Chelsea market too!

Horrible experience with the personnel at the door!

I have been to this place many times, and I usually invite my business associates to join me for drinks here. Yesterday, I was told I can't access the premise unless I get stamped at the door. I kindly declined, and it has never been a problem before; however, yesterday the doorman was unnecessary rude and condescending. I explained my reasoning why I am against receiving the black ink stamp.

1.Takes forever to wash off

2.I wear expensive shirts and sometimes the ink stains the sleeve.

Not only the people at the door were rude, they simply did not care! One of them responded to me arrogantly making somewhat of a sarcastic  flat joke “ who are you talking to ?”  Wow, at this point I lost any interest in spending my money at this venue. Yes, I was talking but there was nobody to listen , so I walked. I walked to PHD  that night, and we had amazing time with my business assicistes.

To the management:

1.Step up your game and hire people who care for your business, that night you lost loyal clients.

2.Get invisible ink stamp , we are not cattle to be stamped with black ink at the entryway!

The Standard Biergarten never gets old. Buy tickets at the front and use them for any beer or food items. Bar to the right serves liquor and takes cash or card. Sunday nights are slow, so it's a good time to hang out and get a casual table.

Went for one reason and one reason only. The Pretzels. These were the best pretzels in NYC? I will say that they were ten times better than cart pretzels which, in my opinion, are virtually inedible. The sheer size of these pretzels is a sight to behold. One will easily feed two people. The salt lick on top was a bit heavy. The inside was warm and soft. I came to the conclusion that if you want a great pretzel, you will not get one in NYC. If you want a great pretzel, come to downtown Fargo, ND.
