The Secret Garden Spa

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience at this spa. I am traveling to puerto rico for 2 weeks and wanted my nails done. From the moment i walked in I was not greeted, just ignored. When I inquired about services/pricing I was told by a cashier named Mellisa (i think thatbis her name) "that I can go on the internet and check all the services/packages that are offered".... I was in a state of shock and confusion that such a beautiful Spa is represented by very unhappy people. The women then sent me off on a "tour" of the facility. This entire first time experience left me feeling very unwelcomed. I was very upset at this point and left and my sister convinced me to just book a n appointment. When I went back into the Spa I told the cashier Mellisa I did not appreciate how I was treated and how all I wanted to do was book a appointment and talk about what services were offered- her response was very cold . Not once did she say sorry she just stated that I must have not communicated properly. I then finally booked an appointment with Amy who was very nice. Unfortunately my gel manicure completely came off! I only had the gell on for 1 whole day! At this point I will not be a on going customer. I will return to get my nails corrected but I would not recommend this establishment to friends/family. I do not think the owner is fully aware of how her staff is making her beautiful establishment look. Customer service is key and hiring employees that actually enjoy customer service is also key.

I just found them through google as i have come from a different country & the reviews helped me. I extremely loved it. Good value for money and very good environment. Excellent customer service. I only used their hair service & found it totally amazing.

My hair is curly, and is of a texture that looks very different when wet versus dry. The stylists at Secret Garden Spa are always able to offer suggestions on how to style my hair, but more importantly are able to cut my hair so it looks fantastic! There is no longer a need for me to go to Brooklyn or Manhattan to find a great stylist.

This review is on the behalf of my very upset mother who was treated disrespectfully at her past 2 encounters at this salon. She had someone call on her behalf to cancel an appointment and apparently it was not done correctly. So instead of speaking respectfully to a repeat customer, an employee at this salon thought it would be appropriate to be both rude and sarcastic. To top it off, she left the salon with hair dye across her forehead and shampoo still on her ears. As if this wasn't terrible enough, she was charged even more than she typically pays for the same service under the sad excuse that every stylist has a different rate. As a woman who is very polite and considerate of others, it disgust me that she was treated so distastefully. This business should be ashamed of themselves. To be known as a professional, one must act as such. Treat others like you want to be treated. Its a basic principle that this salon should have learned in kindergarten.

The staff was extremely welcoming. I love The Secret Garden Spa and cant wait to go back. I had a deep conditioning treatment by Andrea who wasn't pushy and did an excellent job on my hair.

My daughter also had a conditioning/blowout/braid. She was very happy with the outcome as well.
