Excellent service from "soup to nuts"! From the moment we arrived at the Olde Stone Mill in Tuckahoe around 6:30pm on a Saturday evening, we were greeted by a friendly valet who opened our doors and promptly parked our car. Upon entering the restaurant, we were then greeted by a pleasant hostess who checked our coats and led us into the cozy bar area where we were served a glass of wine by a friendly bartender while waiting for the rest of our party to join us for a 7pm reservation. We were a party of 8 whose request for a round table by the window was granted. Several members of our party did not arrive until 7:30pm, but we were never made to feel rushed. We enjoyed delicious appetizers and were served our entrees by friendly and polite waiters in a timely fashion. By dessert time, I had gotten up to look for the ladies room and was intercepted by the hostess who pointed out the location. In our brief conversation, I had mentioned that we were there to celebrate my birthday, so in the time before I made it back to the table, she had arranged for a piece of red velvet cake to be delivered to the table with a candle and everyone singing 'happy birthday!' After dinner, we made our way back into the cozy bar area where we enjoyed after dinner drinks and some of our favorite songs played on the jukebox. We were having such a nice evening that we were actually the last patrons to leave at 11pm! We would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a very pretty atmosphere, delicious food, decent prices and excellent service with a smile! We will definitely return!

Met friends at the Old Stone Mill on New Years Eve 12/31/12 for dinner.
As we walked in the door my first sight was two waiters arguing behind the bar open for customers to see. We were seated in a sunroom filled with tables and the only heating was a cheap electric heater that resembles a cast iron stove.
Appetizers came quickly, the Calamari and the Mussels were good, but the eggplant rollatini was nothing special and cold. The bread was nice a warm. The salad was OK, nothing special. Then the starters came, penne a la vodka and mushroom raviolis loaded with sauce and cold from sitting. My friends ordered the Veal Chop and the Salmon. My wife and I ordered the Shrimp Scampi over rice and the Long Island Duck Breast. The veal chop was a tough Frenched bone in Ribeye (Not Veal). My dish came it was not roasted Duck Breast but 2 chicken legs with orange sauce that I did not eat. My friend's salmon dish was small and dry and the Shrimp scampi was tough and the rice saturated in a pool of broth. This was my experience dining at
The Old Stone Mill. My wife and I are not picky eaters or ones to complain we just would never go back. This was a Prefix dinner menu priced at $75.00 per person
+tax and tip for a party of 4 = $400.00 down the drain.
PS: My extensive knowledge of food comes from working in restaurants and as a Salesperson for a Major Food distributor. I sold food to restaurants and caterers from produces to exotic meats. (Wild Boar, Elk, Buffalo, Alligator,) also Duck and Veal.
