The Monarch

Used to be a nice place to live but recently the building was sold to a horrible money hungry new management company. They fired all the friendly staff and replaced them with a nasty new property manager. This new regime will threaten you non stop. The property manager will go into your apartment frequently while you are away at work. Stay away!

Very nice place to live. Nice size apartment, cool gym facility. Clubhouse is a nice place to entertain family or just relax, play pool or watch tv. Shuttle service could run a little later. If you have a car living here you are set.

FIRE ALARMS ARE GOING OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!

My wife and I have been residents at The Monarch since November 2014. Since then false fire alarm went off more then 30 times. Three weeks ago it happened at 5 am non stop for 40 minutes and repeated for another 20 at 6.40 am. Last time it was yesterday at 2 am!! For another 30 minutes.

Gym is tiny and commonly missing the wipes, what makes it very dirty, equipment is cheap and is not able to handle such an extensive usage. Pool is very small and always overcrowded, terraces are closed for 9 months out of 12. You have to pay for the second car when the complex is in the middle of the swamp - there is no any option for you to get out anywhere except using you car. Very loud AC and everything, except the stove, is electric (yes, including the water heater), so expect the huge electric bills.

And in the end of all the complex is incredibly overpriced - rent starts from around 2k and up. Absolutely does not worth the many asked for!

Paper work here is a trip.
The management won't tell you that the air conditioner in the bedroom is over 100dB loud.
Want to move out? Two months rent penalty and 60 days notification.

I've been a resident since January. My children and I love it here! The playroom is adorable, courtyards are gorgeous and the staff has always been very nice to my family. We are very happy living at The Monarch
