I've been shopping here for almost 5yrs. Luxury finds in the heart of Bed- Stuy. The owners mom is a beautiful soul who helps out during the week.

Nasty Attitude! I have shopped and purchased at this boutique twice and I've been pleased both times. As a customer and business owner of an online boutique, I really enjoyed visiting this place. However today I went to look at some fall clothes because I still like to support small business because now I understand what it's all about and the importance of networking and getting to know similar business owners. When I asked the owner, who Ive seen many times in the neighborhood and even complimented her and her small daughter, how long she's been in business and that I was opening up a physical location in OH, she went ballistic and became boisterous. She said blacks don't help her and if I want to know anything I need to do my homework. She kept saying blacks don't do anything for each other. This is weird since she is in a black neighborhood and blacks are the ones that buy from her. Not to mention with that attitude she is contributing to the stereotype and negative mentality she possess. I have done my homework and then some and really just wanted to know some of the challenges she has faced. She even went as far as to absolutely insult me by saying blacks are always looking for handouts. She said this to me, a woman who has worked day and night ALONE to build a company with her own money and by reading articles from business magazines and other related research reports. I was absolutely shocked by her response to what was just a mere comment about my future plans. I know she is Dominican but we are all women of color. Nevertheless, business owners, especially those that have taken WIBO or SBA classes, when they say other business owners are willing to help and share, they are lying! The lesson that I learned, when someone is as ignorant as she was, to not get discouraged and keep on trucking. I know it's hard for minority business owners and NY can make one callous, but I hope, I sincerely hope that I never become as bitter as her! Lastly, although I think her pricing strategy is not the best for the area and the awning always makes it look closed, as a business owner, I will refrain from saying anything negative about the boutique. You'll have to decide if it's the best place for you to shop. However as a customer, a black woman and a business owner I was highly offended by the owner's behavior and I will NEVER shop there or step foot in there again!!!!!!

Awful customer service. Her phone number works, then it doesn't. If you bring it up, it's obviously a sore topic because she yelled at me. She was rude, disinterested, bored, unhelpful, uncharismatic and mean. I wouldn't shop there if my life depended on it. There are so many independent businesses, especially in a great place like Brooklyn, that work hard to gain a loyal customer base and worth supporting. Little Red Boutique is NOT one of them!

this boutique is fab!!! when i lived in the 'hood I would frequent it...now that I've moved out of the 'hood I still take an occasional trip there and to some of the other Minority owned businesses around the way. Great clothes, shoes, accessories and even household products and candles.......this place has the potential to be a one stop shopping locale. BTW: the proprietor is a really nice, helpful, businesswoman!!!

I work in the neighborhood, and whenever I get a chance I stop in to check out what's new. An excellent selection of jersey knit dresses, cropped jackets and hats, and lots of great scented candles, lotion and incense. This is a great place to buy a gift for someone.
