The Lair

This is the closest shop to me and although I've visited it once, I shopped there for the first time today. I had no problems getting my books and the guy who attended me was great.

Great place great staff convenient deceny prices. Great place to get magic the gatheting cards. Only complaint is that they don't open at the time stated on the door or Google search.

False adversting the store was not open when I came and came one hour after store should have been open. Dont come waste of time

Tried to like this place; excited for a local comic store in my hood. First time I went, it was a cramped mess. No order whatsoever and totally unhelpful staff. I thought maybe they were doing inventory, so I waited a while and tried again recently. Called to confirm hours (bcs they have the worst website ever) and was there about 15 minutes after they were supposed to open. Gate was still down and locked. When I tried calling again, I was hung up on. I gave an extra star bcs it is still nice to know there is a local store like this around, but for me, I'd rather spend the time and money getting to Midtown comics in Manhattan and get quality stock and decent service. If you want me to shop local, get your act together.
