Cozy, upscale atmosphere in a typically college-bar neighborhood. Yet, attainable prices. Music is low. Good for dates and deep conversations with friends late into the night.

I used to come here all the time when it was The Dam, and I do miss that place and the bartenders. But I must say that the space has been completely revamped and has a nice, low key and classy atmosphere. The food is great, including their grilled cheese and their charcuterie and cheese plate. Great selection of cocktails that are at typical Manhattan prices (well, about $3 less than someplace in The Village, which would approach the vibe of this place). So cocktails are $12, very well executed. And the bartenders are generally nice, particularly the good Scottish lad.
The crowd and feel has changed since the days of The Dam, and I will cherish the memories I made there. But I am happy to welcome this new spot to my neighborhood. Excellent in my experience.

The "Perfect Storm" is an excellent Dark and Stormy with their fresh house-made ginger beer!

The Dam has shut down and has been replaced by The Hamilton. Specialising in bourbons and serving great food, they opened a few weeks ago.
