They suck on every level, communication is an rare option offered in this place. If you called in the early morning the person who answer is either "high" or asleep can never tell the difference. And please updated your website becouse you write a lots of bullshit but nothing is true

We are from Spain and were visiting Greenpoint for 3 weeks this July. Althoug a bit uncertain about the mixture of bad and good reviews of this page, we decided to visit the place and after checking it out for ourselves, we enrolled my 6 year old son for two weeks of their summer camp and we couldn't have made a better choice. Both owner and instructors were very very helpful and kind. The place is awesome both for its gimnastics equipment variety and for it being a welcoming environment for open play. My son was very very sad to leave the warm and playful environment Peter and his people created. Thanks Peter, Laura, Tyrath and all the rest....

This place is great. Peter is very good at what he does, most of the kids and parents who attend the Gym Park really enjoy it and many have been doing it for years.
It's obviously not for everyone, but what is?

Pay lots of money to be mistreated, harassed and bullied by the actual owner!!!!
I enrolled my daughter in the team program thinking that it was a great way for her to get some exercise and build self confidence doing what she loves - gymnastics. Peter, the owner, sold me on the nurturing and empowering environment he claims is the focus at Gym Park. He convinced me that he wanted to create a team in which the girls would be part of the Gym Park family. He wanted his team to be role models for the younger kids and for it to be a home away from home. In the beginning it was a positive environment however it quickly turned for the worst. It went from a positive place to a complete nightmare.
My daughter would often come home in tears when Peter would fight with other instructors in front of the girls. She hated how he would either ignore her or pick on her. She was terrified of being a minute late to class as Peter would punish her with running laps for her tardiness. Ironically, I was terrified to have my daughter arrive too early as I would then be harassed by Peter as he refuses to be a babysitting service - my daughter is almost 12 and babysits other children on the weekend.
My daughter went from being valued to being bullied by the actually owner! At some point during our two year stint at the Gym Park, Peter decided that he no longer liked me and rather than be a professional and a mature adult, he singled out my child and created rules that only applied to us. I was to call if my daughter was sick otherwise he would reprimand her for "messing up lesson plans" by her absence. Her teammates were allowed to enter early, but we would get harrassing phone calls if she showed up 10 minutes early. After a year, one day suddenly we were told practices were now 'closed' to parents. However, we were the only ones this rule seemed to apply to as well as each time we picked our daughter up, the gym was full of parents watching. The list goes on and on of the degrading and belittling treatment of our daughter and us as parents.
After seeing many of her teammates leave over the course of the year for similar experiences, we too finally pulled our daughter out of the program as we were tired of paying a lot of money to be abused by Peter and his constantly changing rules. It is such a pity that Peter is so negative as it could have been such a wonderful experience for our daughter. With a young toddler at home, he not only lost our business with her but for years to come as I will never subject any of my other children to the negative environment and the bullying at the Gym Park.

- Terrible #37086
This gym would be a great resource for the neighborhood were it not for the owner. When we went, he was disorganized, distracted, short tempered, and had no concept of customer service or, indeed, even many social skills. My daughter, a young toddler, was chastised for eating in the wrong area...not the gym floor, mind you, but off of the mats. She wasn't eating anything messy, either, but some cheerios and a sippy-cup of water. He was so rude we never returned again, in spite of having just paid for a year's membership. He humiliated us in front of the other customers (we were only one three families there at the time), and asked me to move my things while I was in the middle of changing her diaper. This man needs to learn some serious professionalism before this business can or should flourish.
