Weary PDX native finds craft coffee, chill atmosphere, and overly kind barista in BKLYN. Wish I'd found this place sooner than the day I left Brooklyn. Will be back.

Good cold brew iced coffee in the morning at BK Speed Coffee. Get the breakfast burrito combo.

The flat is a good venue spot that highlights local artists and bands. It's always good vibes and a couch/lounge area that's pretty dope. Great place for underground music and dancing. The drinks won't hurt your wallet either. It's right off the J/M train and there's lots of food places around the corner in case you get heavy on the booze. They aren't snobby at the door, and the usual $5 cover gives you a DJ spinning some excellent music. Definitely the neighborhood IT spot, for both the lowkey and the scene kids. Really, the crowd is nicely diverse, you'll never feel out of place.
