The Empire Hotel

Not sure how this hotel got the high-end reputation it has. Every piece of furniture in my room was worn and/or dented. The recessed lighting cover in the bathroom had come off and someone had placed it on top of the clean towels. I was first shocked to see a random metal thing on top of the towels then realized it was part of the lighting fixture then found at least a dozen dead creatures inside. Cracks in the bathroom tile and grout. A funny smell. You name it. Felt like I was at a third world hotel that was trying hard instead of a first class four-star home away from home.

We transferred from another hotel and was very impressed by the excellent service by all of the team. In particular special thanks to Micheal, Jose and Maria for ensuring helping out in our time of need (5 star service!). The room was big, very clean and of a good standard. Breakfast was excellent and the views from the roof terrace were amazing. We would highly recommend this hotel for business, couples and families. We will stay here again on our next visit.
