The Coop

Awesome coffee but i feel like they need more staff (the barista is also the cashier). I've waited upwards of 10 minutes to get a simple cold brew.

The Coop is a wonderful alternative to the standard choices for breakfast in Bay Ridge. I had the Shashuka, eggs poached in a spicy tomato stew, and it was just about perfect. Looking forward to coming back and trying the Huevos Rancheros.

The staff is really friendly. There was a steady stream of people coming in to get their morning caffeine, always a good sign. They have a play area at the back, which I think is great, so it's a friendly place for everyone. Oh, and while there is music playing it's not BLASTING, so wonderful. Finally, someplace I can have breakfast or just coffee and read or write or think.

Our favorite neighborhood spot! Great coffee (and on-tap draft lattes), delicious food, and super-friendly staff who play good tunes. There's a play area full of toys in the back, yet it's hip and quiet in the front. Boasts a wee outdoor space, a bright & silly mural, and a jar full of smiling bear-shaped cookies. And it's literally two steps from the 95th St R stop.

This is a jewel of the neighborhood. Delicious coffee, draft latte, great service. Great food too. I always go for the huevos rancheros. Somehow simultaneously hip and great for families (indoor/outdoor play area).

Whether you're bringing young kids or going with a group of friends, the Coop has great food and drinks in a comfortable cafe setting to offer for all. The draft latte is absolute must try!
