This cafe felt like a home away from home: I was visiting a friend in New York and this little gem of a place felt exactly like my favourite café back in Montreal (Canada), but just a bit more NY-style. I enjoyed stopping by in the mornings. And great tea selection too!

Delicious coffee and the hipster atmosphere you'd expect. Macbooks and beanie hats all around. Did order a bagel and had to wait about 10 minutes, but otherwise great - if you stick to coffee you're good.

This is my morning, noon & afternoon Java Hit must go spot. Great Staff, Food and coffee make for an always fun start to my AM. I'd scream about this place to the hills but it's already a fave for many and it's that word of mouth effect that is the reason the spot does so well. Kudos!!!!

Adorable little cafe, adding to the growing list of gems in West Harlem. Sitting under a brownstone it is easy to miss, but once you know where it is you will find it difficult to walk by and NOT pop in for a cuppa. Good music, and they have open mic on certain nights with local bands and poets. Free Wi-Fi, good tea list and a loyalty card that will score you a free cup after buying x-amount. There's also a garden they open up during the warmer months for additional seating (inside can get a little cramped.)
Named after the cup on Beauty and the Beast, it's easy to see the beauty in this cute hidden cafe - still looking for the beast.
