Aside from the concierge staff who is great; this place is a nightmare.
From a Sales Team that makes promises and can't deliver (nor cares after they've signed you), to a third party "valet" parking service (which is mandatory, but will hold your car hostage if you don't show them your lease immediately - illegal but true), this place is all kinds of terrible.
We were given a free month at the beginning of our lease, and when I called a week in advance to schedule, they had us moving in a month later. Then I had to call sales to get them to weigh in, and our "free month" turned into a free 25 days b/c the unit wasn't going to be ready in time (apparently Dane in sales dropped the ball here). Then, we moved in, and our oven had been used (this was a brand new unit when we moved in, no previous renters), and the grease in the bottom set off the smoke detectors both in the apartment, and in the hallway for over 30mins. Not one call from maintenance though - very safe. And, I had to have the building come in to do a THOROUGH cleaning AFTER move-in, b/c apparently there had been parties hosted in our unit prior, and no one thought to clean appropriately.
In addition, they put this place together so fast that nothing is well-made. For example: our floors dip in the middle, our trash cabinet door doesn't open unless you pull with your entire body weight, the freezer handle comes off every other time we pull it open, the smoke detectors go off when you use the stove/oven more often then not, and for the price ($2500+ for 1 BRs and up), there's very little that management is doing to keep tenants happy - though I have heard people have received a YEAR of free parking if the complained enough. Interesting. Nevermind the fact that the parking is PUBLIC as well, and anyone can park in the garage via valet, and come into the building at any time. No keys, no fobs, etc.
There's a nice common area on the 8th floor where you'll at least meet some great people who live in the building. But the dog run that's up there now mandates dogs be kept on leash (so no longer a dog run as originally promised). And it's also filled with little pebbles which in addition to being terrible on dog paws, is also a nightmare in the hallways as the pebbles are trekked in by the hour. Have I mentioned the gates to the dog park are also jenky, and consistently open on their own?
Not a great experience here by any means, and after having lived in another City Homes & Gardens property - this place is beyond disappointing.

The building is brand new, looks great, and the apartments are very cosy and comfortable. And yet, given the fact that the location kinda sucks, I don't understand why the apartments are more expensive than apartments in buildings closer to Washington Street in Hoboken, where you are steps away from restaurants, bars, and even more importantly, the Hoboken PATH station (I measured 15 minutes walk time from the PATH to the Cast Iron Lofts, at a brisk pace too).
Residents of the Cast Iron Lofts depend on a shuttle that runs a few times in the morning and a few times in the evening. If you don't have a car, you are out of luck.
There's a reason this place has a Walk Score of 77, as opposed to 98 for buildings closer to PATH and Restaurants.
