I've eaten at this restaurant numerous times and there were some occasions when the food was off a bit.
They messed up my order with a different one in menu or added an ingredient which I told them to exclude.
I usually get their Sirloin steak and I would say it's better than any other average steakhouses, maybe except for Keen's steakhouse or BLT prime in the city.
Risotto is pretty good as well and the atmosphere of this restaurant is outstanding. Just little elegant and soothing kind of a restaurant for lunch except on Fridays? or Saturday nights. They sometimes have a jazz singer for dinner. It's quite interesting.

We go back to the Palm Court Restaurant again and again for special occasions. Great service and the kitchen is able to modify any dish as requested. Always a treat for any occasion.
Great for a special occasion or a relaxed meal with family and or friends.

Where do I even start with how this place has done wrong? First off, when you arrive, there is definitely an air of elitism. From the cliched fountain at it's entrance to the decor in some of the rooms, the place seems to forget where it actually is located, in the middle of a golf course nestled in a public park.
We met with a friendly woman, Debbie, whom greeted up with a smile and drinks. She showed us the grounds and wasn't trying hard to sell the place, probably thinking we would be blown away by the surroundings. Sorry, but seeing constantly passing cars on a busy street or random golfers in the background of the ceremony space doesn't exactly inspire awe in me. A tight row of trees or some type of fence would have helped.
That pretentiousness carries over to the menus where they seem printed from a cheap inkjet. The food is supposedly amazing, at least that what we were constantly reminded of, being that it is "fine dining" with a "fine dining chef" and all. However, the offered menu as-is is very limited with any customization coming at additional costs. Everything is an additional cost. Most venues include valet. Here, nope, an additional cost. We have access to shoot photography anywhere, which is great if it weren't for the fact that this is a golf course!! Even a small enclosed garden would have been welcomed.
Quite possibly the best thing regarding this visit is the white horse statue. They do, however, book only one event per day. Good, because I'd hate to share a special day with all the golfers AND a second party.
