The Cafe Grind

A lovely little cafe that offers tasty drinks and a variety of treats! Cafe Grind has a very pleasant atmosphere that makes it ideal for relaxing by yourself or catching up with friends.

good coffee, good service, bagel was OK. not expensive.

Decent espresso and variety of drinks. Food is just okay -- I had both a Kale salad (mostly Kale, underdressed and left wanting on other ingredients) and ordered a breakfast burrito that was basically filled with what seemed to be velveeta.

Good cortado, a little pricey but good

Had a kind of forgettable, but not glaringly bad cappuccino. The texture was okay, but the barista who made it didn't wipe the portafilter clean before pulling the espresso. I might have visibly gawked as she dosed a fresh shot onto the spent sludge that had accumulated in the portafilter basket during the morning rush. Admittedly, it didn't affect the flavor of my drink too badly, but wiping the portafilter is a minimally decent (and minimally professional) gesture from a barista to the person he or she is serving. My standard for what I would call "okay coffee" is relatively fussy and obsessive. Coffee at the Cafe Grind is ultimately just okay. As far as the rest, I guess it has a neat aesthetic, and the bathroom is super clean although a little tricky to find. Go here instead of Starbucks or Dunkin'.
