Birdhouse is a total gem of a place. An absolute oasis. It was lovely when it was a charming nugget in Carroll Gardens and it is a glamorous slice of serenity in its current home in the Gowanus. Brooke is a gifted and inspired stylist, sassy, smart, and sharp--not just with her shears. She can diagnose hair issues & create ingenious solutions in a flash, like a salon super hero. She has a gimlet eye for what will work and will gently--but firmly, with her signature warmth and wit--steer me away from some of my nuttier ideas, saving me from myself. She infuses the whole place with a combo platter of her high standards and bubbling personality. Love that Birdhouse!
