Fantastic cocktails, served in a grown-up, classy, but not pretentious atmosphere. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Never been to Raines Law Room or the other establishments from this team but if The Bennett is any indication I gotta check em out soon. Stuck with whiskey for the night which led me to the Ideal Patriot and the Frank of America. The apple and maple work great with each, respectively. Get them. A side of beef jerky with the Ideal Patriot is the move. Trust me. Or don't. Wanted the cookies but alcohol drove me to the burger which for $17 is meh. Don't recall the fries too much. Oh well. Capped it all off with a delicious rye Old Fashioned. Went on a Thursday and the spot started to fill up even around 6:30p.
Naomi and Chip are A+ behind the bar.

I was a little disappointed in The Bennett. It's owned by the famous NYC speakeasy The Raines Law Room so you'd assume it would be just as amazing. The Bennett is a speakeasy, but it doesn't feel that way. You walk into an unmarked restaurant and go through dark black curtains and you're in! It looks very TriBeCa and they have several cocktails to choose from all around $14 or so. I ordered the something "lunch" and it came in a tall glass. It's one of their sweeter drinks and was good, but they shoved so much ice in it, I barely had any drink to enjoy. The Bennett wasn't an bad place to go and we don't regret going, but there's many better places to go in a city full of the best bars in the USA. I recommend The Raines Law Room.
