Thai Kitchen by the Sea

The service is great!!! The food is delicious!!! I enjoyed the atmosphere as well!!!

Let me start off by saying the staff is nice and so is the restaurant. That's where the pros end for me. I haven't been here in over a year because the last time I came I thought the food was sub par. A year later it's no better.

- I asked if they had lunch specials, and they server handed me a clearly sticky menu.
- I ordered a Thai iced tea that was too sweet.
- They gave me a spicy chicken soup that tasted horrible.
- There was more dressing on my plate then there was salad. The flavor of dressing itself was indescribable.
- My lunch special pad-see ew was a child sized portion that was awkward and barely passable. The huge chunks of mushrooms and carrots just didn't make sense to me.

I hope they get their act together. I only get to eat 3-4 times a day. I don't want to eat passable food. #yumminessOnly!

The portions are extremely small small, over priced, and. Ordered 3 appetizers (plum chicken wings, spring roll, crab cakes) and the TK special Nua Yang Grilled beef. Not going to lie the chicken were delicious but there was only 4. The crab cakes were smaller than chicken nuggets. The beef was a few slices of beef thrown on top of ice burg lettuce and the side of jasmine rice was half filled in the smallest rice container I have ever seen. The sauces we're half filled.

When we called the owner said what do you expect that is the portions and there is nothing I can do.

We love this place. The service was amazing. I was definitely impressed by the choices at the bar (great beers and liquor). There was too many amazing things to choose from. There was three of us and we had to share the appetizers. We ended up ordering SEVEN! One better than the next. The wings, OMG! That plum sauce. The summer rolls were the best of all. So fresh and delicious. Juicy calamari. Flavorful shrimp. Crispy fresh vegetable dumplings. Scrumptious eggplant. All with the most amazing sauces. The chicken satay was so flavorful. The duck curry, duck fried rice and the ocean mix (shrimps and scallops) were our entrees. The duck sooooo crispy and yum yum yum. I loved the shrimps. I am not a fan of scallops, but they made love them with the amazing flavors. The food came out so fast. You almost could not keep up. Such excellent service. Very attentive. We were originally going to go to the other Thai place here but it was so overcrowded. No regrets. You will love this place and the owner is a sweetheart.

I got the Red Curry with Chicken.
The Curry portion size was good, I had to order more rice.
The curry was edible but the sauce was quite thin compared to other places I have been to.
It was also incredibly salty.
A little more salt and it would have been inedible.
And this is coming from someone who generally likes more salt than most people.
I would like to see this place succeed but they definitely need to up their game in the curry department.
