Terrace On the Park

In all honesty Terrace On the Park goes way back! so people may think it's old and past its days, but I must say, it's improved. I had my prom here in 1997, so I returned in 2009 to check it out for a wedding venue, but at the time, it did not appear to have been modernized. It looked worn, so we chose a different venue.

My wife and I decided to give it another try for a recent event, and we were really impressed with the difference. My wife is realllly hard to impress, but she found that today's Terrace on the Park now has beautiful rooms, and she fell in love with the ground level terrace (odd since I always thought of Terrace on the Park as a "must have skyline view" venue). This venue totally upgraded and is continuing to do so.

Plus, it helps to have excellent guest services, in particular from our Banquet Manager George! He was very accommodating, honest and easy to deal with. He was our deciding factor!

Went to a bank Xmas party here, had a blast, great drinks, good food and awesome people.

It was the worse wedding banquet i have ever attended. Bad services and cocktail arears are small. No chairs. Bad lighting and settings.

I wanted to let readers know about the terrible service we got with the banquet Manager, Enzo DiGrazi. We had to wait about 15 minutes which was no big deal. When he took us in, he was so welcoming to the other couple who was waiting and even offered the tea or coffee while they waited, and not welcoming with us. When we let us into his office, he was very brief about the hall and i had to ask all the questions. He did not care to elaborate on anything unless we asked. I even had to ask him to see the halls and bridal suite. When asking about the penthouse, he says oh, that's too expensive. What gives him the idea that we may not be able to afford it? We insisted on seeing it anyway and were informed briefly of the prices. We felt very rushed and unwelcome.

Thank you for meeting with us today. I would like to know what is the best deal you can offer me for the following:

Penthouse for 5 hours.
Premium bar unlimited
Use of tables, linens, chairs, waiters.
Use of Outside terrace
Set up of chairs in the terrace.

I will be getting catering for cocktail and dinner.Please give me a breakdown of the best deal you can give me. I would greatly appreciate if you can give me a hands down price with everything I have requested above. Please include all charges including tips, set up, clean up, taxes, rental fees, site fees, etc. Please also tell me what will cost extra/or what is not included in the prices you send me.

Reply: I am offering a full open premium bar, Tables, chairs, linens,silverware, china, stemware, staffing from waiters, waitresses, bartenders, maitre d' , captains, just to mention some of the many staff members.
Also take under consideration that it is a national holiday and staff is paid double time per hour.

My concern is that if that is the kind of treatment the banquet managers offer, I do not want a wedding there. He did not give us any assurance that our money would be worth it and we will be well taken care of.
