Absolutely awful!! My wife and I would get delivery from here all the time cuz they were relatively cheap, the owners were courteous, and the food wasn't excellent but good. Well, we just recently got back from a two week vacation and took a week to settle in. We decided to go for a walk to the boardwalk and to get sushi from our place, which is on the way. When we walked in, we noticed a sign that said "under new management," which immediately raised a red flag in my head. I decided to be open-minded, and was like "let's give em a try anyway." The second red flag was when I heard the work staff starting to speak chinese. Not to be that way, but the old owners were japanese and they knew what they were doing. The new owners DO NOT. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and hibachi steak. The chef asked how I want my steak cooked, to which I answered medium. It got me somewhat excited to think " ok I guess these people do know what they're doing." We took our food to go to eat at the boardwalk at around dusk. When I opened the spicy tuna roll, it did not look fresh AT ALL!! Instead of a nice bright pink, it was more of a dull pink leaning on grey. When I tasted it, it tasted like tuna fish from a can that was mixed with a spicy sauce to mask the aweful tasting fish. I tried to help its gagging effect by drowning it in wasabi, which instead of a bright green, was almost brown. Then I pulled out my "medium" hibachi steak, only to find it charred to a crisp all they way through. Not only was it tough, but it was also the fattiest piece of steak I've ever gotten from a restaurant. It's a shame that the old Japanese owners had to go, but I will NEVER give the new owners my business again. I usually never write bad reviews, and just suck it up... but considering the incredible drop in quality with the new owners, I felt the need to warn everyone out there to NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! There are a handful of other good Japanese places just a tad more expensive within a couple blocks radius of this place, which I hope goes out of business due to its puke-quality food. My wife got the eel cucumber roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. She said it tasted like regular sushi does after it's been sitting in the fridge for a couple of days! UGH!!!
