Tasty Grill

A solid restaurant for dine-in Greek food and take-out. I frequent this restaurant at least twice a month due to their tasty food and great service. What do I love?

-the kitchen is open so I can see that my food is being prepared in a sanitary manner
-they offer great Greek food (octopus, saganaki, gyro sandwiches and platters) and also other great options (salads, wraps and GREAT burgers)
-the staff is very polite and attentive

My favs: tasty wrap, Greek burger, combo gyro platter, lemon potatoes and avgolemono soup in the winter time! Yum ;)

Very clean friendly staff and the food was fantastic.

The place is average. I go here whenever I can't find anything better. Vegetarian options don't taste well.

I so wanted to love this place. I could only give it an "EH SO SO." This was also my fiance's and daughters opinion (she's 22 and also well experienced with very good food and restaurants). What made me so excited to try Tasty Grill were the reviews, partly. I value other people's opinions and have made many excellent choices with the reviewer's invaluable critiques. My daughters Falafel plate was awful. They looked like little greasy mounds of poo. We have eaten good Falafel, mediocre and excellent. But not here. (BTW - try a great Middle Eastern restaurant for many of these types of foods. MUCH MORE DELICIOUS. Just research internet.) As for my Gyro plate. The meat was weird shaped. No, not the usual "shaved sliced meat." Instead both my fiancé and I ended up with very small, about the side of a quarter, quite firm, overcooked Gyro, crescent shaped meat. My lemon potatoes were simply disgusting - and I love potatoes and lemon AND have eaten them many times in other Greek establishments. My fiance's rice was fair. Our salads weren't bad though. Those were crispy and seemed fresh. Our appetizer, the three dips, weren't bad as well. Those we got at the start of our meal and we thought things would be great after that. It wasn't. Another thing that bothered me and this may seem petty to some but the Pita goes from a lovely round disc, to a quite dry, very flat bunch of small very toasted triangles. This bothered me. That seems like cutting corners and I want the nice fluffy round LIGHTLY toasted Pita with my order. NOT some dried out looking cracker. In addition, I ordered the Octopus. That is the dish you see featured. When it arrived and I tasted (I'm the only one who LOVES Octopus) it was a just a little too undercooked. I realize you cannot overcook Octopus and many of those types of Mollusc's and seafood, but mine was practically swimming on my plate. After all this, my fiancé STILL wanted dessert! Good God. Enjoys his sweets and coffee. My daughter and I both refrained. He ordered the rice pudding. Took a couple of small tastes. Made a weird face and left all the rest. Needless to say we aren't going back. Perhaps the cook had a bad day? Who knows. We spent almost ninety-six dollars, but we are not cheap or spiteful. Our waitress, even though not the most attentive (we tried getting her attention a couple of times, but she was constantly on her cell giggling away, back to her only two tables in the place almost the entire time. There were only two other patrons in the restaurant at that time,) we gave her a $20.00 tip. I think pretty fair for lousy food and not so great service. Tasty Grill. I think not.

A WONDERFUL SURPRISE! We didn't expect much but the food was great, you could see they spent a lot of money decorating the place and our waitress was top notch. I got the BBQ ribs which were out of the world and she got a spinach pie and Greek Salad with Coconut Shrimp which she loved.

Giant portions so we have enough for lunch today. I definitely give this a high recommendation even though I had to drive a little to get there.....Kenny
