Went here for dinner with my family. The experience was very bad. The food was slimey. The chicken tangra masala fried rice was out right bad. The chicken was stinking in the rice. The service was atrocious. The server actually dropped the white rice on the table and was looking at us as if he expected us to pick it up and eat it. After a couple of awkward seconds of us staring at him, he picked up the fallen rice with one of our place settings and disappeared. No consideration on replacing the rice or the place settings. We had to literally ask for the rice and the place setting to be replaced after a good 10 minutes. To top this off they charged us 18% gratuity. When we bought this to the attention of the owners they were very arrogant. I feel compelled to pass on the advice they gave me: "you have a choice to eat anywhere". If you are reading this then please choose wisely this place has bad food, bad service and disrespectful owners. I will take my business else where every time, never going back here again.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. This place is amazing! Must try the lollipop chicken.
Just go there and try all the dishes.

Our friend insisted that she heard Tangra Masala was one of the best Indian-Chinese restaurants and that we must try it. So on to the train to yonder hills as we rode merrily all the way.
The restaurant is another one of the non-descript frontage and interior only with the one function in mind which is to service food at a low cost, no frill ambiance. Found the service to be helpful and friendly.
She ordered an assortment of dishes for the table to try out. To start the Lollipop chicken and Vegetable Pakora and entrée Tangra Masala Chicken, Shrimp and Tangra Masala Chow Mein. The lollipop chicken is basically the drumstick trimmed and deep fried to look like guess what a lollipop! It was good but not sure why the rave. The Pakora another deep fried mixture was also decent but then what is not good deep fried?
The entrée we decided for a mix of the Masala sauce...wet and dry. We found that the preferred sauce was the wet. We all thought it had more flavor and the sauce made was good for dipping bread and top of the rice. As for the food. It was an interesting interpretation of Chinese food which is let's take Indian food ingredients deep fry it or make it greasy...voila Indian-Chinese! Overall, the table much preferred the dishes that was more Indian and less Chinese mainly because of the oil factor.

One of the best place I have ever visited for Indian food. Only thing they don't take card.
