Tamila Selitsky, OB-GYN P.C.

Sent letter cutting all ties when i didnt accept dr they refered me to.reason,to long to wait for appt.i had cancer,could not wait a month more.felt betrayed and just awful.Found great drs.,through my own regular physician.treated me immediately.i could not beleive she sent me that cold hearted letter.

I have little faith in these glowing reviews, here and on ZocDoc. In fact the reason I went was because of the glowing reviews on zocdoc, but I found out later that ZocDoc actually have a means of removing "inappropriate reviews". I imagine mine was not the only one removed, leaving only glowing reviews...

I was actually called by a ZocDoc rep, telling me how sorry they were for my experience, but unfortunately they cannot place my review up on ZD.

"Why?", I asked.

"In your review you question her medical knowledge/opinion and since you are not a medical professional you cannot make that judgment", answered the rep.

"I understand, but I do know when I asked for a basic visit, and my words are turned against me into a "sick" visit and I am then to pay $100+ in extra lab costs because of the better judgment of the provider."

I mention the rude staff

The insanely long wait time

The doctor herself, who didn't ask me any questions regarding my medical history OR seeing any test results before telling me i needed a biopsy. I'm pretty sure you don't need to be a doctor to understand that you should do some preliminary testing before sending someone off for a biopsy.

Side note: after visiting 2 other physicians, there was not one squeak regarding a biopsy...that makes me woner

The doctor herself who quickly took my pap and didn't ask if i had any questions or concerns, and who I had to flag her down as she answered what few questions I could remember as she held her foot in the door.

Overall I was very upset. I had never felt so disregarded as a person during an office visit. From my first encounter with her staff to my brief encounter with her, my entire visit was upsetting.

I really wanted to like her, I really wanted to have a great GYN, the same great GYN reviewed in ZocDoc, but I got something entirely different.

Excellent, knowledgable, and extremely competent doctor! I recommend Dr. Selitsky to every female. She is the best OBGYN in the NYC area!
