I'm not normally a huge fan of expensive, high-end Indian restaurants. Why pay more when there are so many good cheap options? This is the exception. It's some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted, even beating curry mile in Manchester. The fish and prawn dishes are to die for, and the dahl is well worth trying.

We were there early (6pm) it seemed to me that they had not much to do then and we had the people stop by our table as a courtesy. We orders drinks from one guy, food from another and wine from a third. It was a bit weird. We had the chili crab as an entré to share. In my opinion the tomato based sauce overpowered the gentle taste of the crab. If you're from Norway. It reminded me of "Markell I tomat". As a main we had halibut (signature dish) and chicken tikka masala. They chicken was great and the fish was excellent. They had a lot of exciting items on the menu I wish we could sample more. The rice servings could be larger, even better "refill for free". It would give a nice boost of service and with the prices for most being over 30$ i'm sure they can afford it. Very nice wine list and also good choices of wine by the glass.

Elegant, classy, authentic, flawless are the words to describe this restaurant. I have been to many Indian restaurants but this one completely stands out from all the previous ones. The minute you enter this establishment you can feel the essence of beautiful Indian infused ambiance. The food was outstanding and the spices were just right. Our party of seven enjoyed every single dishes that we ordered. Everything about this restaurant is well thought out and over executed. Favourites at Tamarind: beer 1947, Ginger & Pepper Martini, Apps shrimp caldin, main course toooo many to mention. MUST TRY THEIR LAMB CHOPS......
