The best French toast I've ever had. Thick brioche slices, light and fluffy, crispy toasted outside, served with creme fraiche and fresh berry compote...!!

We held my wife's 50th birthday party here and hosted 20 people for an entire evening. Bill the chef and Carlos the maitre d' went beyond the call. Fabulous tasting menu and intimate, warm ambiance. Short ribs, black bass out of this world. A very special evening.

This is a really great hidden gem on the UES. It's a cozy, well-appointed space with a handful of tables and friendly (if a bit pushy) wait staff. The food is always spot on. I've been here twice for brunch and once for dinner, and all three times we've loved it. It's French, so expect relatively small (though reasonable) portions and powerful tastes.
For brunch both times we've gone almost nobody else has been there so the service was great and the food came out very quickly. For dinner it gets crowded and you should probably have reservations. The space is small, so when it's crowded expect a bit of jockeying to get to your seat - it's worth it.

you can't beat the prix fixe before a 92nd st y event. remember, don't go with anyone big..the room is teensy and the tables are very tight.
