Sylvan Learning of Brooklyn Heights

My daughter began having trouble in math when the curriculum was changed in September 2012. It left her feeling unable to succeed where she had previously been among the top students. Additionally, because of her medical issues she has missed a lot of classes. My daughter began tutoring at Sylvan in February 2013. By the next marking period her grades had improved dramatically.

I am grateful that Sylvan has given my daughter her confidence back. She is back among the top students in her grade. She has just taken the Regents for Math. She is confident that she will receive a good grade on that as well.

I would recommend Sylvan Downtown Brooklyn without any hesitation.

Kobe started sylvan in july of 2012 and he was doing so poorly . He had a C in ELA and as of today he made honour in that class. I am so happy and please with the result i have seen . I must say sylvan better my son reading skills , writing essays, his math skill , his confident went from a 0 to a ten , kobe is such a different child now , i have to say thanks to sylvan , especially their staff who does an excellent job day in and out with our kids. am proud to say kobe will still be attending sylvan. It is my pleasure to write a review for Sylvan Learning Center, located on Montague Street in Brooklyn. My grand-daughter came to this country from England in September 2012. She entered the 8th grade, and immediately met challenges, due to the differences between the American vs. English curricula. She was most challenged by mathematics. When she tested at her new school in September, she was only at the 5th grade level in math. We enrolled her at Sylvan in February, 2013. After a few months, we saw a great improvement, not only in mathematics, but in all her subjects. As of May, 2013, my grand-daughter is passing every subject, when she had previously failed each one of them. Her self-esteem improved to such an extent that she began to believe that she could succeed in spite of the obstacles and challenges. Our family believes that the caring nature of the Sylvan tutors and the structure of the program as a whole helped lead to this improvement. Thank you, Sylvan!
