SwimJim Swimming Lessons - New York City

I have had children swimming with SwimJim for 24 years. The swim instruction system Jim has developed is exceptional and the instructors Jim and Kelli find and train are peerless. Each instructor is diligent, thoughtful, kind and fun. This was not my experience when I first tried other programs.
My sons, now in college, thought of Jim and his staff as family. My daughter has autism, but that did not deter Jim and his staff. They conferred with her therapists and teachers, and continue to do so, in order to create a swim program that addresses her behaviors and her complicated way of learning. She is a terrific swimmer now and thinks of Kelli as her best friend. When Kelli is away, instructors she has trained step into the pool beautifully.
I have watched children (and a few adults) for all these years happily learning to swim, improving their skills, and becoming, in some cases, Olympic-level swimmers, and, in other cases, thrilled recreational swimmers, I could not recommend anyone for any task more highly than I do the people at SwimJim.

Wonderful! Super Skilled and precise. For the youngest and those anxious about water they are right with them every second. Then so carefully communicating confidence to float and then to move. In two years of watching lessons I never saw one child take on water even to cough. They have a curriculum which is deeply thought out. The older kids (young teens) become breathtakingly graceful and swift, they swim like fish! SwimJim was very open to children and parents coming to watch a class (from outside the pool) to get a good feel if it would be right for them.
